Overview ABOUT THE POSITION VHB's Raleigh, NC offices are seeking a GIS Analyst to join the Technology Enablement team. This individual will be embedded within a NCDOT office 4 days a week and 1 day a week in the VHB Raleigh office. This individual, under moderate supervision, receives assignment to conduct spatial analyses, produces maps, and configures web and mobile applications that express the results of analytical processes using Geographic Information System (GIS) desktop and online software. The role involves coordinating the procurement and distribution of spatial data while participating in the design and implementation of spatial databases in support of creating and maintaining end user applications. Under supervision this individual would prepare project plans, direct vendors, and coordinate internal team members in the completion of spatial data collection and projects. The role would also assist software engineers understand spatial data processes in support of creating and maintaining end-user applications. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position $55,000-$69,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
