What You'll Do

As an NPT intern, you'll play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the department you support. You will contribute to key projects and initiatives, actively engage in problem-solving and process improvement, and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. At NPT, interns are valued team members, regarded with the same respect and consideration as our associates.

Our program is designed to teach practical skills while providing meaningful professional development opportunities. You will regularly collaborate with department leaders and other professionals, building valuable connections and learning from their expertise. Interns may work in a variety of departments, including Operations, Accounting and Finance, Development, Marketing, and Communications.

Internship positions run from mid-May to mid-August.

Pay rate is 20/hr.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Execute assigned projects in support of department and company operations.
  • Participate in department meetings.
  • Partner with team members to problem solve and develop action plans for implementation.
  • Additional ad-hoc research and project work as assigned.
  • Contribute your fresh perspective and innovative ideas to support the team's success.
  • Proactively contribute to the team by completing assigned tasks with reliability and accountability.


The above list is not exhaustive, additional tasks may be assigned as necessary but are not a major function of the position.
What You Bring:


  • Related fields such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy, or other related degree program
  • Interest in financial services, philanthropy, non-profit and charitable sectors
  • Strong communication skills: Both written and verbal, able to convey information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: Willingness to learn new things, adjust to changing priorities, and embrace new challenges.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in common software applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with relevant industry-specific software.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous and accuracy in all work.
  • Strong work ethic: Reliable, dedicated, and committed to quality work.
  • Learning agility: Eagerness to learn new skills and apply them to work.
  • Positive attitude: Enthusiastic, optimistic, and team-oriented.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold the organization's values.
