This department typically works between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Supervisory Duties None

Summary: This position exists within a processing environment that requires consistent attainment of Centier's "Essentials of Excellence." Associate continually works with peers and Managers to improve efficiencies, quality, and solutions to operational issues.

Essential Duties:

• This position is accountable for performing specialized IRA/Saving Bond/Tax administrative duties. This includes, but is not limited to, inputting and uploading new accounts, performing file maintenance on existing accounts, verifying all documentation is complete and accurate, contacting branch personnel regarding corrections, answering all associate and client inquiries, processing scheduled payments of IRA distributions, and reviewing/correcting/mailing regulatory documentation including IRS forms 1099-R and 5498.
• Verify the accuracy of Savings Bond Redemption forms and enter them into EOY system or verify entries made by another associate on the team.
• This position is also accountable for insuring non-resident alien accounts are coded as such and required documentation is on file.
• Determining what adjustments need to be made when GL suspense accounts are out of balance for IRA.

Other Duties:

• The associate must be willing to cross-train in other functional processes within the department as needed.
• The associate will assist the IRA/Tax Administrator with preparing training materials to facilitate training to bank associates for growth and career advancement.
• Provide support to the IRA//Tax Administrator with EOY reporting and balancing and with any special projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a positive, upbeat attitude
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to speak clearly and fluently by phone.
• Strong PC skills
• Must work well in a team environment
• Extensive functional training and flexibility to deadlines and workloads will be required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 2 yrs. work experience in IRA banking preferred
