Responsibilities
Product Development: Execute methods for isolating, expanding, and cryopreserving primary cells, and develop and optimize growth media. Responsibilities include feasibility testing, development, and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration and Compliance: Establish and maintain excellent working conditions with tissue provision organizations, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant policies. Assist in developing SOPs for tech transfer and support projects through successful tech transfer.
- Laboratory Operations and Research: Support lab operations by managing supplies and equipment, and develop application data for scientific communications. Aid in preparing research documentation and bring new product development ideas into the pipeline.
- Manufacturing of Cellular Products: Manufacturing of Fresh and Cryopreserved Cell Biology products under ISO guideline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent (example: a master's degree with 0 - 3 years of experience would be considered).
- Proficiency in handling and characterizing a variety of cell types, especially primary cells.
- Experience with techniques such as immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and functional assays.
- Knowledge of media formulation for cell cultures is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct laboratory research projects and develop commercial products.
- Experience in creating robust SOPs for tech transfer.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address potential issues early.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Adaptability to shift priorities and work flexible hours as needed.
Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program. We Invest in You
