Grounds and Light Maintenance is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents. Gorman & Company is looking for an experienced Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician committed to providing first-class groundskeeping and light maintenance services as part of a collaborative maintenance team at several of our properties around the Madison area.

A day in the life of a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician:
- Work with our maintenance team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides, and clean-up.
- Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, installing and/or maintaining fences.
- Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground equipment.
- Maintains watering and drainage systems.
- Attends all instructional classes conducted by management.
What do I need to qualify to be a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician?
- Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Previous groundskeeping/landscaping/maintenance experience required.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate lawn equipment.
- Must be able to read work orders/service requests.
- Good safety habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
