About the role

Quality Technicians support the production team by ensuring products meet established safety and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, basic technical skills, and the ability to follow established protocols. Quality Technicians play a critical role in maintaining product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Schedule -

Monday - Friday

2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to workplace safety guidelines at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to customer specifications, requirements, and expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality programs, including FSSC, GMP, SOPs, HACCP, environmental program, and other operational standards.

    • Perform environmental swabbing as needed.




  • Conduct and document basic lab tests such as density, weights, and oxygen measurements, ensuring accurate and timely results.


  • Conduct and document key quality duties, including:

    • Foreign material checks
    • X-ray verifications and validations
    • Microbiological sampling (EB, coliforms, yeast & mold)
    • Review and release or reject raw materials


  • Understand coding such as production order numbers, lot numbers, and regulatory numbers.
  • Collect product samples for customer or regulatory testing as needed. Label, pack, and ship samples accurately.
  • Inspect equipment and production areas for cleanliness and compliance with GMP standards.


  • Oversee production and notify relevant personnel promptly about product or operational problems. Report deviations or non-conformances to managers promptly.
  • Understand and implement HOLD protocols to isolate product or raw material that deviates from specifications.


  • Assist in maintaining laboratory supplies and ensure equipment is calibrated and in good working order.


  • Assist in preparing for audits by maintaining organized records and performing assigned tasks.


  • Collaborate effectively with cross-departmental teams.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment remain clean and organized.
  • Provide backup coverage for quality personnel during planned absences or sick leave.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager or as apparent within the role.

Qualifications

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working without supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented and to work accurately and precisely.
  • Must be willing to take ownership and accept responsibilities of QA (Quality Assurance) functions.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Possess a high degree of personal cleanliness.


  • Possess well-developed sensory skills.
  • Possess organization and prioritization skills and the ability to manage time well.
  • Must be able to perform basic computer functions (Word/Excel).
  • Prefer experience in food manufacturing and /or quality control.

US salary ranges

USD$57,000.00 - $71,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
