Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Trade Show Manager, based out of Billerica, MA.

Responsibilities

Rapiscan, a global provider of security screening solutions, is seeking an experienced Trade Show Manager to lead the execution of the group's portfolio of events. This role will budget, plan, manage, and execute the successful delivery of all trade shows, conferences, and events.


You will report to the Vice President of Marketing and work with cross-functional team members including marketing communications, product management, product marketing, technical sales, sales, shipping, and receiving. You will also manage and mentor an events specialist as a direct report, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in event management, an organized and detail-oriented approach to projects, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across divisions and departments and within tight deadlines. This role requires travel and is based in the Billerica, MA office.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute all aspects of marketing events and trade show processes including logistics, registration, booth design and property management, equipment displays, catering, transportation, accommodation, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure all necessary equipment and services are provided on schedule.
  • Work with distribution partners to understand and support their event-related needs, such as digital sales and marketing tools, collateral, equipment, and graphics.
  • Develop and maintain the event calendar and budget, ensuring expenses do not exceed approved budget.
  • Attend events and act as onsite contact for the leadership and sales teams, overseeing and executing event setup and onsite logistics.
  • Manage inventory of event-related properties, including banners, backdrops, table drapes, promotional items, etc.
  • Create social media calendar and content to publicize events and drive attendee engagement.
  • Analyze event feedback and suggest strategies to enhance event experience.
  • Manage and mentor the events specialist, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • As needed, serve as a marketing generalist, creating signage, presentations, blogs, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field
  • 7-10+ years of corporate event experience
  • Accomplished team player who can build internal relationships with sales, product management, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, possibly frequently, and over some weekends as needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience using marketing tools such as social media platforms, PowerPoint, email campaign programs.
  • Bonus: Experience in brand messaging, message creation, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint applications

Please note: This position has a weekend work requirement of approximately 8-10 partial or full weekends per year.
