Position Responsibilities

We are actively seeking an accomplished and experienced Consulting Delivery Director to join our thriving Deltek Professional Services (DPS) team. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Consulting, this pivotal role will lead the successful deployment of our industry leading Vantagepoint ERP product.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and nurture high-level relationships and partnerships with project sponsors and steering committees during client engagements. Serve as the go-to escalation point for critical client issues, demonstrating your ability to resolve challenges.
  • Lead a team of functional consultants within the DPS organization with a strategic mindset, ensuring seamless alignment with the company's overarching vision. Drive excellence in project execution to champion DPS's goals and objectives.
  • Establish a robust financial management approach, playing a central role in ensuring the financial success of all services projects. This includes effectively managing direct reports comprising Business and Application consultants, with diverse portfolios of Deltek engagements. Responsible for achieving revenue, utilization and margin targets.
  • Elevate customer satisfaction to new heights by personally overseeing the effective execution of all services work. Demonstrate a keen ability to manage escalations from clients and ensure swift resolutions that preserve customer satisfaction.
  • Forge a skilled team of Project and Program Managers capable of navigating the intricacies of Deltek engagements. Develop and mentor your team, fostering professional growth and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assume an integral role in the DPS management team, having full accountability for project outcomes and the holistic performance of the DPS Delivery organization. Make informed assessments of potential decisions' organizational impact, weighing associated risks and rewards.
  • Collaborate extensively with the DPS Services Engineering team, contributing your financial acumen to the creation and delivery of compelling proposals to clients and prospects. Collaborate closely with EVPs, VPs, and Solution Development Directors to formulate comprehensive service strategies for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with fellow Delivery Directors to shape resource allocations and skillsets across the Delivery practice, optimizing resource management. Demonstrate your prowess in constructing consulting agreements that safeguard the company's interests.
  • Instill the Deltek Implementation Methodology within portfolio projects, meticulously overseeing compliance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement across business processes and systems, upholding professional practice standards.
  • Participate actively in regular one-on-one sessions with direct reports, leveraging your mentoring skills to empower your team's professional growth. Keep updated on client/project status using established DPS PMO standards, engaging executive support when needed.
  • Play an instrumental role in influencing revenue growth by aligning staffing levels within the Delivery organization to utilization targets. Collaborate closely with the Solutions Development team to ensure proposal contracts align with best practices, profitability goals, and risk tolerance levels. Play an integral role in setting utilization targets and compensation structures.
  • Champion DPS interests in cross-BU initiatives, such as product release meetings and special projects, effectively representing the organization.

Qualifications


  • Possess a minimum of 10+ years of direct/indirect people management experience.
  • Have 5+ years of P&L Management experience, showcasing your financial stewardship.
  • Demonstrate 10-15 years (or more) of Project Management/Consulting experience, with a strong preference for consulting expertise.
  • Hold a B.A. or B.S. degree; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Exhibit a proven track record in managing extensive technology implementations, with a strong preference for ERP implementations, including concurrent multi-project management / oversight.
  • Thrive in consulting with executives, both internal and external, navigating conversations with finesse.
  • Command expert-level knowledge in P&L management, forecasting, people management, professional development, progression planning, and talent management.
  • Demonstrate excellent resource management expertise within the context of implementation projects.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of the annual budgeting process and its nuances.
  • Boast strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Display a knack for collaborating seamlessly across diverse internal and external entities.
  • Excel in crafting forward-thinking strategic objectives and articulating them compellingly to various stakeholders.
  • Utilize your effective time management skills to drive task execution and allocate resources optimally.
  • Exhibit readiness for up to 20% travel when needed.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $117500.00 - $205750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
