Ensures that Hilcorp Energy Company's pipelines are inspected, maintained, and managed in order to achieve safety, reliability, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations, codes, and applicable standards. Aligns programs and processes towards effective operation and production of Hilcorp Energy Company's assets.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide visible leadership and direction to the pipeline integrity execution team in the field. Demonstrate clear examples of adherence to the company values of Integrity, Urgency, Innovation, Ownership, and Alignment, especially within the context of the pipeline integrity discipline.
- Communicates key metrics for pipeline integrity programs and utilizes those metrics to improve program performance.
- Drives efficiency and work execution with a focus on both the quantity and the quality of the work being performed.
- Able to clearly identify, communicate, and resolve any risk gaps in pipeline integrity programs.
- Able to document and demonstrate the workflow process and associated data management processes associated with the pipeline integrity programs.
- Ensure pipeline integrity programs are implemented in accordance with Federal and State pipeline regulations.
- Provides oversight and management of pipeline integrity inspection staff in the field. Set and communicate expectations, define annual goals and stretch goals, and hold staff accountable for accomplishing goals. Conduct employee performance evaluations and regularly hold 1:1 sessions to enhance employee performance.
- Accountable for annual budgets, cost tracking and forecasting, scope management, and schedule for pipeline integrity related activities. Hold self and others accountable for accomplishing tasks on time and budget.
- Accountable for management of contracts and contractor staff with numerous support service contract companies. Provides feedback to contract companies on performance expectations and manages contract spend in alignment with company objectives.
- Regularly interacts with Asset Teams and Midstream group to understand impacts to operations, ensure Integrity programs and processes are in alignment.
- Participates in the Company's efforts to interpret and comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Actively engages with regulatory agencies and personnel in an advocacy role for the Company.

- Works across multiple teams to identify opportunities for common solutions or tools, and communicate/understand impacts to non-Integrity programs and processes

- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Qualifications:
- Fifteen (15) years minimum experience in pipeline engineering and integrity, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- Proven field leadership experience gained from team management.
- Demonstratable Safety Leadership in the field. Ability to consider safety in all decisions. Maintains and drives a strong safety culture in the team.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to Pipeline operations.
- Knowledge of integrity inspection and NDE techniques; preferably ILI, GWUT, ATRT, AUT, & DRT.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
Preferred: InTrack, PODS, Microsoft Project

Education Requirements:
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year university or college in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Optional: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with 10 years minimum leadership experience and appropriate advanced certification from AMPP, API, or ASNT.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Optional: AMPP (NACE) Certifications: CP1 (CP Tester) and CP2 (CP Technician)
- Optional: API 570 Piping Inspector.
