We are seeking a detail-oriented Freight Accounts Payable Associate to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all freight-related invoices. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to research and resolve discrepancies, and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: Process and document freight-related invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring proper allocation to the applicable General Ledger (GL) accounts. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with carriers, vendors, and internal departments. Dispute incorrect invoices, follow up on pending resolutions, and track progress to completion. Maintain organized records of all invoices, disputes, and payments for auditing and reporting purposes. Collaborate with the freight team to reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with company policies. Assist in generating periodic reports related to freight expenses and payment status. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in accounts payable, freight, or logistics is an advantage. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective follow-up and dispute resolution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Key Attributes: Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
