Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Melbourne, FL. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
  • Involved with the overall development of optical systems. Coordinate with hardware and software design teams in selecting and qualifying optical components. Develop performance models and test procedures
  • Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks
  • Work independently on daily tasks
  • Assist in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementation
  • Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc
  • Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products
  • Under direction, set up and conduct tests of units and components
  • Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specification; record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
  • Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Assist in the development of plant layouts, manufacturing methods and process improvements
  • May coordinate maintenance projects
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $19.50/hr + 15% shift differential
Length: Temp to Direct
3rd Shift Weeknights
Work Days: Mon-Thurs
Work Hours: 9:30pm - 8:00am
Will train on 1st shift for several weeks prior to moving to 3rd shift. Training is Mon-Thurs from 6am-4:30pm
Holiday pay, 401(k), direct deposit, and medical and dental insurance

  • Novice technical expertise and beginning familiarity with the shop/laboratory and equipment
  • Thermal / Vibration testing
  • IR products
  • Database collection and reporting
  • Soldering experience, a plus
  • Ability to work under thermal and loud conditions with PPE
  • Ability to view display while actively testing the product
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Experience with computer apps, Outlook, Excel, TEAMS etc.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing
