Description

Starkey is hiring for a Patient Care Coordinator in our Center for Excellence located in Eden Prairie, MN. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through cerumen management procedures, training providers/students on cerumen management techniques, counseling patients on use and care of hearing instruments including phone connectivity and associated apps and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of hearing aids through clean and check processes. This role is essential in ensuring optimal hearing health for patients and enhancing their overall experience with hearing devices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS (List responsibilities in order of importance or where majority of time is spent, starting with the most important/majority. Exclude responsibilities that are marginal, which are included in "other duties/responsibilities as assigned.")



  • Conduct cerumen management procedures, including ear suction and manual removal of earwax, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on cerumen management techniques and the importance of ear hygiene.
  • Provide training sessions for providers/students on the proper cerumen management techniques.
  • Clean and service hearing aids, ensuring they are functioning correctly and are free from debris.
  • Counsel patients on use and care of their hearing instruments including phone connectivity and associated apps.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting cerumen management procedures and hearing aid maintenance.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements



  • One of the Following Required:

    • Current Audiology License in Minnesota
    • Current Hearing Instrument Dispenser in Minnesota
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota




Experience





    • 3 Years experience
    • Experience with cerumen management is preferred.




Knowledge / Technical Requirements



  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation.
  • Familiarity with hearing aid cleaning and maintenance tools and techniques.
  • Competence in using medical equipment related to cerumen management and hearing aid cleaning.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $75,460 - $98,000 / year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program, hearing aid benefits, PTO, 6 paid holidays annually, 2 floater days annually, 1 volunteer service day annually, paid paternity leave, and tuition reimbursement.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
