Overview
Nexus Health is looking for an HR Assistant to join our team! The HR Assistant will support the HR Manager in various administrative tasks and activities. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. The HR Assistant will assist in recruitment, employee records management, benefits administration, and other HR functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations. It is not an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required for the job. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBLITIES: Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with job postings on various job boards and the company website. - Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers. - Maintain and update the applicant tracking system. - Conduct initial screenings and background checks for potential employees.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system. - Ensure all employee information is accurate and up to date. - Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of new hire packets and orientation schedules.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions. - Coordinate and manage employee leave requests and documentation. - Support the annual benefits open enrollment process.
- Assist HR Manager in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. - Help with the preparation and filing of required compliance reports.
- Answer and direct HR-related inquiries to the appropriate person. - Prepare and distribute HR-related documents and communications. - Assist with the organization of HR events and training sessions. - Perform other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - HR Certification in human resources preferred, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: - 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred. - Familiarity with HRIS systems-Workday / iCIMS and applicant tracking systems is a plus. - Skills: - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Work Environment: - This position typically works in an office environment with standard office equipment.
