DSP Software Engineering Internship - Summer 2025

This position is a DSP Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. We are looking for an cs or engineering major with a strong interest in DSP and embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and Low Level device drivers to be used in wireless products.

• Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment.

• Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects.

• Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication.

• Experience in C/C++ is a plus.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus.

• Experience with, Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus.

• Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus.

• Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus.

• Experience using version control; Git is a plus.

• Experience with Linux is a plus.

• Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus.

• Candidate's graduation date must occur on or after December 2025.

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.

• Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
