*Job Description: *
The Student Loan Counselor will counsel student loan borrowers in resolving their delinquent accounts in an accurate, effective, and efficient manner. The role involves handling inbound and outbound telephone calls. Key Responsibilities: * Counsel borrowers from the Default Guarantor Portfolio (older cohort of borrowers prior to 2010) who are 60 days past due. * Make outbound calls using a dialer, with call volumes increasing, especially on the direct side. * Educate borrowers on their loans, particularly as the payment pause ends in September, addressing four years' worth of inquiries. * Handle 40 to 100+ calls per week, starting with outbound calls and transitioning to inbound calls after training. *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. * Ability to type at least 40 words per minute * High School diploma or GED. *Work from Home Schedule:* * Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM *Virtual Training:* * Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. * Must be able to come onsite the first day. Candidates are then sent home around lunchtime to set up and complete training online. *Location Requirements:* * Must live in Dane, Columbia, Sauk, Rock, or Dodge counties. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
