Overview
The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) seeks a dynamic leader to serve as the State Director for Title IV Part A, which provides federal funding to support well-rounded education, safe and healthy schools, and effective use of technology, and the Migrant Education Programs. This role oversees the disbursement of over $6 million in Title IV Part A funds, ensuring compliance with program requirements while reviewing grant applications, monitoring LEA performance, and providing technical assistance to schools. The director develops workshops, updates program materials, and contributes to the strategic direction of the CFP Team. They also administer the Migrant Education Program, providing oversight to subgrantees, ensuring accurate data reporting, and addressing the unique educational needs of migratory children and youth.

Work is generally performed in a standard office setting but significant travel may be anticipated for which private means of transportation must be available. Some work outside of normal work schedule may be required. There may be considerable interaction with a variety of publics and strong differences of opinion may be encountered. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, public administration, or related field AND four (4) years or more at a professional level in education, program development, or leadership role in a public or private educational institution. Preferred Qualifications
