Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Reliability Engineer & Senior ILS Analyst to join them. You will report to the Senior Manager of Reliability Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, New York. You'll be responsible for analyzing Moog's designed components and systems to assess their reliability performance and impact upon program safety, maintainability and logistics requirements. To be considered for the Reliability Engineer & Senior ILS Analyst role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience,
- Or a BT degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a BS degree in a technical field (Mathematics or Physics) with a minimum of 5 years of combined relevant experience in both sets of accountabilities
- Thorough understanding of product design, including sophisticated electro-hydraulic/mechanical/pneumatic flight control systems, and the ability to effectively interact with personnel from other engineering disciplines.
- Strong statistics knowledge (Weibull, Chi-square, Poisson) and desire to learn.
- Ability to identify failure modes and failure scenarios within an assembly, component or system and document the various effects on severity they may have to function.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic/electrical schematics and system diagrams.
- Experience with Reliability SW tools such as PTC Windchill, Ansys Sherlock PoF, RELEX, Isograph Reliability Workbench, CAFTA and with Microsoft Office products

As a Reliability Engineer & Senior ILS Analyst, you will:
- Assess the reliability of parts/components by calculating the frequency that they may fail; assess what the effects and criticalities of those failures are on the assembly/system and determine what the probability of loss of function is resulting from the failures.
- Assess the maintainability of parts/components by determining the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements; the tasks to be performed at the various levels of maintenance; calculating how long they will take to perform and then develop into a maintenance concept that ensures program maintainability and availability objectives are achieved.
- Assess the logistics footprint (people, parts, tools, training, information, etc.) required to ensure successful execution of the proposed maintenance concept and compile this information into specified compliant formats.
- Perform the following types of reliability analyses:
- Reliability Prediction
- Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Flight Safety Probability of Loss of Control (PLOC) Analysis
- Safety Hazard Analysis
- Perform the following types of maintainability analyses:
- Maintenance Concept
- Maintainability Task Analysis (MTA)
- Mean Time-to-Repair (MTTR)
- Maintenance Schedule Group (MSG) Analysis
- Human Factors
- Prepare the following Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) data:
- Provisioning/Spares Recommendations
- Repair and Maintenance Manuals
- Support Equipment Recommendations
- Training Assistance & Data
- Packaging Handling, Storage and Transportation information
- Hazardous Materials Compliance (REACH/RoHS)
- Demilitarization and Disposal
- Present and discuss the results of analyses performed at customer design reviews.
- These activities encompass the entire range of product life cycle, beginning with the conceptual design phase, through full-scale development, into production, aftermarket support and ultimately removal from service, so a practical understanding of product life cycle is essential.
