MongoDB's mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere-on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it's no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

As a Growth Marketing Manager focused on feature adoption, you will develop and execute marketing programs designed to engage our developers throughout their workload journey, driving adoption of many of the MongoDB Atlas suite of features. This role requires expertise in product-led growth and lifecycle marketing strategies, with a focus on experimenting with dynamic, personalized strategies through channels such as email and in-product, reaching B2B users at critical moments in their journey. You are obsessed with customer success and advocate for our users as much as you work to accelerate their journey on the MongoDB developer data platform.

You have a deep understanding of the customer journey, including onboarding, adoption, and engagement strategies, and you are experienced in designing and executing experiments both in-product and across marketing channels. You bring a strong technical aptitude that enables you to effectively communicate with and market to developer audiences, ensuring that your strategies resonate with their needs and preferences. You excel at audience segmentation, particularly in developer-focused contexts, and can drive initiatives from initial strategy to cross-functional execution. Strong communication and collaboration skills are at the core of your success.

This is a highly visible role that requires a change agent with natural leadership skills and the ability to work across multiple teams with members at different levels. You are adept at thinking strategically and tactically to get things done by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Analytics, Data Science, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations.

We are looking for an individual who is a problem solver, detail-oriented, collaborative, creative, data-driven, strategic, organized, and a trusted partner.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

In particular, you will be:

  • Partnering closely with the Product teams to create digital experiences that encourage Atlas users to adopt and continue to engage with Atlas features
  • Defining and executing marketing plans with the rest of the Growth Marketing team to keep project timelines updated and clear across all stakeholders
  • Continuously optimizing programs and channels through experiments and A/B tests
  • Creating and curating relevant content for driving feature awareness and adoption, including crafting campaigns that support feature-specific funnels and lifecycle stages
  • Performing strategic product, market, and customer analyses to identify new growth drivers or opportunities for improvement
  • Uncovering and leveraging new emerging channels and opportunities to accelerate growth and workload expansion
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on KPIs to ensure marketing initiatives reach revenue objectives
  • Working collaboratively with our product marketing and product team to align messaging and understand relevant product launches and moments to roll into each customer program or campaign

We're looking for someone with ...

  • 5+ years of B2D or B2B experience in growth marketing, with a focus on product-led growth and/or feature adoption and lifecycle marketing
  • Experience designing and executing cross-sell/up-sell strategies to expand customer adoption across product offerings, leveraging insights and tailored messaging to drive incremental growth
  • Drive to provide the best possible experience to our customers and users
  • Deep understanding of marketing to developers or a technical audience
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the big picture (market, customers, company) but also the details to successfully scale programs
  • Passion to objectively measure your efforts and only make decisions based on data
  • A collaborative mindset - you love working with others and incorporating relevant feedback
  • An owner mentality - you take complete ownership of your tasks and champion efforts to get them to completion
  • Flexibility and adaptability - you enjoy working in ambiguity. You are calm and effective under pressure and able to pivot quickly. You excel at task prioritization and proper evaluation of situational urgency
  • Focus and drive - you know what matters and apply yourself with gusto, continuously exploring how much faster you can learn and execute
  • Experience or have a working knowledge of product-led growth strategies and KPIs
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to storyboard campaign themes and messages to develop compelling campaigns to bring to market
