Location Requirement: Sales Associate (SA) must live within Territory. Dallas/Ft Worth is preferred area. Alternate locations: Jackson, MS or New Orleans, LA.

Coverage area: This role requires daily and weekly travel to accounts within the territory. Car allowance and Mileage included in compensation.

Overview

Myriad is looking for a sales professional who is passionate about improving the lives of patients through precision medicine. As a Sales Associate (SA), you will partner with a territory Sales Executive (SE) and Sales Manager to sell the Myriad portfolio of molecular genetic tests to healthcare providers in your assigned territory in addition to providing education on Myriad science, research, and precision medicine. Myriad tests can be used to guide personalized medical management decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibility

Provide sales support to targeted accounts, physicians, and staff.



  1. Observe and assist territory SE with full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
  2. Support existing customers with workflow related to Myriad.
  3. Manage billing/customer issues.
  4. Prospect targeted customer types.
  5. Meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
  6. Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging including strategic and tactical information.
  7. Attend local tradeshows, industry conferences and networking events.
  8. Stay current on industry and marketplace trends in personalized medicine.


Qualifications



  1. BS/BA degree required, ideally in a related field of study.
  2. 2 years of experience in a sales or sales support position preferred.
  3. Biotech or healthcare industry experience preferred
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Proven ability to manage ever-increasing responsibility and sustain growth.
  6. Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem solving skills.
  7. Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues.
  8. Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
