Assembler I - 2nd Shift

Description

Team members are responsible for assembling, packaging and verifying small kits of parts to be shipped out with Lighting & Siren products. Operators will follow work instructions to accomplish tasks quickly and accurately to meet job responsibilities. 2nd shift team members receive a $2/hour shift premium on top of their base wage!

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Assemble small items by hand.
  • Assemble, label, and package various products and kits.
  • Complete all tasks with a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Able to operate department equipment with training.
  • Identifies and/or prints needed labels and instruction sheets for products based on job order as required.
  • Packaging of lights and related product.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to accurately use a computer for basic reporting.
  • Able to consistently meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • High levels of quality
  • Able to listen/understand and apply direction from Supervisors
  • Ability to accurately use a computer for basic reporting and label printing
  • Ability to consistently meet quality and efficiency standards
  • Able to read and follow SoundOff Signal Work Instructions.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Light manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
  • Required to work shift hours (four 10-hour days) with occasional overtime

Requirements

  • High School Diploma. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Basic manufacturing skills preferred.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime based on business needs
  • Excellent dexterity and fine motor skills to work with small parts.
  • Maintains quick pace with quality focus in all activities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to independently follow verbal and written instructions efficiently.
  • Mechanical aptitude to operate department equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and/or reach throughout an entire shift.
  • Must be able to accurately handle and assemble small parts.
