At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? A Facilities Group Lead provides support to daily warehouse operations and system processes. A Group Lead is responsible for effectively planning and coordinating workflow for assigned area. They ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, electrical systems and Autostore technology. The Group Lead provides support to other areas at the discretion of the Facilities Manager and/or DC Leadership. What Will You Be Doing? * Coordinate and execute a daily preventive maintenance program for all material handling equipment, including AutoStore systems. * Ensure the efficient operation of AutoStore robots and grid systems. * Collaborate with material handling vendors for technical support and spare parts procurement. * Perform routine inspections to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of electrical equipment. * Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to maintain safety and production efficiency. * Delegate tasks and ensure that the team is operating efficiently. * Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. * Lead safety training initiatives for the maintenance team and enforce a strong safety culture. * Maintain a spare parts inventory to ensure quick replacement of critical components, including those specific to material handling and electrical systems. * Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure necessary parts and materials. * Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and spare parts usage, with a specific focus on material handling and electrical maintenance activities. * Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities for management. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the maintenance department. * Implement best practices to optimize the performance of AutoStore systems, electrical systems, and other material handling equipment. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Comply with all policies and standards. What Are We Looking For? * High School Diploma or equivalent * 4-6 years of experience supporting many areas of a warehouse. * 1-3 years of experience operating powered lift equipment. * Bilingual a plus. * Detail-oriented, ability to follow through on projects, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks at once. * Knowledge of Internal Operating System(s) and Microsoft Office. * Demonstrated ability to lead a team by setting a good example (i.e., exemplary performance, strong initiative, and strong attention to detail). * Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information. * Comprehend verbal and written instructions. * Able to work both independently and within a team. * Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines. * Ability to handle confidential and business matters in a professional manner and defuse employee related situations appropriately. * May be required to complete and maintain SanMar's Lift Operator Certification. * Essential days or overtime may be required. What Should You Expect? DC Warehouse (Equipment): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. The employee operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands as well as full range of motion of the neck, head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as a protective harness while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast-paced. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions. Why Work at SanMar?
