Job Posting Title Senior Gear Technician Job Description Summary #TeamAAM is looking for a Senior Gear Technician to join our Driveline team in Three Rivers, Michigan! Job Description Supports development & processing of bevel and cylindrical gears for various automotive and commercial applications to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced prototype lab environment. Works closely with the design and application group to specify gear development requirements, quality levels, performance levels and program scheduling Sets up, programs, and operates Gear Development Center machines and inspection equipment to produce parts for various prototype programs. Assists in evaluating and recommending new equipment, processes, and software. Participates in product design/development review meetings. Assists production facilities with troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Assist benchmarking and performing competitive gear analysis requests. Participates and assists with PPAP's and new product launches at domestic and international facilities. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education High School Diploma or GED required. Thorough understanding of typical metal part processing tooling, machines, machine set ups, operation, and prints. Proficient in setting up (programming, tooling, etc.) and operating gear processing machines. Experience with gear evaluations using CMMs and other inspection equipment. Familiarity with gear processing equipment. Experience in gear design software. Ability to travel up to 30% U.S. & International. Available to work overtime if required.
