  • Salary: $140,000- $155,000

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant

Candidate will provide process improvement capability, change management, performance management, enterprise project management, and support of the DHA CPI/LSS Program.

Key Responsibilities: Provide coaching to include sharing knowledge, skills, information and perspective to foster the personal and professional growth of a CPI/LSS Project Lead/practitioner IAW the DHA CPI/LSS Program, which includes 8-Step PPS and DMAIC methodologies.



  • Lead and/or assist in developing and executing prioritized performance improvement to optimize processes and improve outcomes
  • Verify projects are appropriately scoped and aligned with Defense Health Agency (DHA) strategic priorities
  • Provide education and technical guidance on the utilization of Minitab statistical software (DHA Headquarters, Markets, and MTFs) to identify performance and/or capability gaps and develop projects to address identified gaps
  • Provide technical guidance to process improvement teams and Executive Leadership
  • Train/Assist in training belt candidates in practices consistent with the standards of the DHA CPI/LSS Program
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:



  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching lean and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Projects to successful completion with measurable results
  • Experience with CPI/LSS in a healthcare environment preferred
  • CPI experience which includes 8 Step Practical Problem Solving/A3 Methodology
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel to Military Treatment Facilities as required
