DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The individual occupying this role is responsible for executing specialized maintenance and repair tasks within the Range Control Division of Operations and Training. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating the upkeep of equipment and infrastructure, as well as contributing to the enhancement and modernization of range and training facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment (37.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/day)
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch.
    • Rotating weekends as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of trades work experience, which includes two years performing skilled work on electrical or electronic systems or equipment in a commercial or industrial environment; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes two years performing skilled work on electrical or electronic systems or equipment in a commercial or industrial environment.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Formal training (high school vocational program, apprenticeship, or post-high school technical training program) in a skilled building or mechanical trade.
  • Experience working in the carpentry and electrical trades.
