a.i. solutions is seeking an articulate engineer passionate about space to join our FreeFlyer support team. Unlike most support teams, the selected engineer will not just be answering questions from our NASA, US Air Force, and commercial customers, they will be on the front lines of helping with every exciting and challenging aerospace design problem involving the FreeFlyer flight dynamics software inside the company. The chosen candidate will be tasked with mastering the FreeFlyer software, representing the user experience in design meetings, and will be called upon to expertly address challenges posed by customers and our sales team using the tool. Additionally, they will need savvy customer-facing communication skills when traveling to customer sites and conferences to instruct them in the optimal usage of the software. The FreeFlyer support team offers a dynamic experience with significant growth potential that may be the ideal fit for a diversely skilled engineer excited to contribute to the future of space. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical support to FreeFlyer users over various means of communication
  • Build demonstrations and presentations using FreeFlyer to showcase the tool to prospective customers
  • Support customer site visits for demonstrations, presentations, and FreeFlyer training
  • Support conferences worldwide by delivering demonstrations and engaging with attendees to showcase our products and capabilities
  • Structure and execute instructional courses, documentation of the product, and testing efforts
  • Work closely with aerospace systems engineers throughout the company to build industry-leading ground systems using the FreeFlyer software
  • Review design documents for new FreeFlyer functionality and advocate for the users' best interests
  • Support FreeFlyer licensing and user registration on our corporate website
  • Be vocal about possible areas of improvement for FreeFlyer or the FreeFlyer team's processes


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • U.S. citizenship


Desired Background:



  • Formal technical writing experience for commercial software products
  • Orbital mechanics/astrodynamics and orbit determination/navigation
  • Use of flight dynamics-related modeling/simulation and computing tools, particularly FreeFlyer
  • Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) tool
  • C#, Java, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Ability to quickly connect in-person and in writing, and to actively listen and perceive the needs, values, or opinions of others
  • Proactivity in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
  • Demonstrated leadership accomplishments academically and personally
