We are seeking a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist to focus on talent acquisition including mid-career and campus recruiting and coordination of internship and early career development programs.
This position combines program management, member coaching and mentorship, recruiting and relationship-building, ensuring a steady pipeline of talent to meet both immediate and long-term organizational needs. What You Will Do:
Campus Recruitment & Internship Program Management
- Manage the full internship program lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, program engagement, and post-internship opportunities.
- Execute campus recruitment initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend career fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with recruitment goals and timelines. This includes collaboration with a cross-functional campus recruiting team.
Early Career Development Program and Project Management
- Create and manage detailed project plans for the Information Technology and Finance & Accounting Early Career Development programs including recruitment cycles, coordination of placements, and needs of the business, tracking progress against medium- and long-range goals.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting programs and suggest enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
- Meet regularly with early career members to mentor and coach to help to ensure their success within the program and within HNI.
Sourcing & Recruiting
- Identify, attract, and screen high-quality candidates for various corporate positions including Information Technology, Legal, Finance & Accounting, Decision Science, and Human Resources utilizing innovative sourcing techniques, including social media, networking, and talent pipelines, to ensure consistent delivery of qualified candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in human resources, campus outreach, recruiting, and/or managing development programs
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools.
- Up to 10% regional travel to career fairs and recruiting events; majority day trips.
