DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as the employee development specialist and the lead for the PBCB's diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion efforts to support the advancement of our mission, vision, and values. This includes working across the agency to incorporate these issues into the structure, program, policy development, and decision making of the PGCB. This position receives direction from senior management and works in close association with the Director of Diversity and the Human Resource Specialist assigned to placement on matters of recruitment and community outreach. Work also includes developing, administering, directing, and providing training to all levels of Board staff. Your involvement is essential to promote skill and leadership knowledge including but not limited to communication skills, effective writing, conflict management, stress management, presentation skills, emotional intelligence and awareness, mentoring, supervisory skills and knowledges, leadership development, and employee performance management. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years as a PGCB Human Resource Assistant; or
- Two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in employee development and promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
Legal Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
