Description
SUMMARY: The Special Events Coordinator will work as part of the Special Events team to support the promotion, execution, and fan experience of select third-party events at Gillette Stadium, including Premier Lacrosse League, international soccer, high school football championships and fitness events. The position will be responsible for multiple concurrent projects and will receive guidance from the Executive Director of Special Events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Assist the Executive Director of Special Events to develop bid response proposals and event execution plans for third-party athletic events at Gillette Stadium.


  2. Support event operation planning by coordinating event day logistics, monitoring budgets, and functioning in event day roles as assigned.


  3. Coordinate external relationships with area hoteliers, convention & visitor bureaus and other organizations to assist in creating great event experiences.


  4. Conduct research projects in order to maximize effectiveness of presentations and enhance the operational plans and fan experience at all special events.


  5. Identify methods to promote, market and sell tickets for third-party events utilizing knowledge of athletic marketing and promotions, ticket sales, community relations, social media and -in game management.


  6. Produce project plans and production schedules for special events as assigned to ensure effective communication with both external and internal stakeholders.


  7. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop effective event marketing and grass roots promotional plans that increase event awareness, as well as ticket sales when needed.


  8. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.


  9. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.




SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.




SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience


  • 1-2 years of experience providing direct event support maximizing the participant and fan experiences


  • Outstanding organizational, planning and time management skills


  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills both internally and externally


  • Excellent computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite


  • Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures


  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced, customer centric environment


  • Must be proactive and inquisitive thinker who is resourceful and anticipates needs


  • Team player who is coachable


  • Interest in sports and entertainment interest, a plus


  • May be required to work flexible hours including weekends, nights and holidays.
