The environmental scientist specializes in the laboratory-based detection of toxins produced by harmful algae and cyanobacteria. They support the advancement of NCCOS' Stressor Detection & Impacts (SDI) strategic science objectives in the development of detection tools and the monitoring of toxins produced by harmful algal blooms.
