Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join our operations team in our Mount Pleasant, PA site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for time administration duties and act as a payroll liaison. This role requires an understanding of financial concepts and payroll fundamentals. The Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our employees with payroll questions as well as support our management team with pay changes and processes and will collaborate with the HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Review and signoff on weekly timecards for all hourly employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and internal policies as well as a union collective bargaining agreement.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee information is maintained.
  • Utilize Kronos or similar timekeeping systems to track employee hours on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare reports in Kronos as needed.
  • Act as a payroll liaison to employees and managers when there are questions related to payslips, the timekeeping system configurations, pay adjustments, accrual reporting, reimbursements and other payroll related topics.
  • Partner with the management team to train on processes and actions that need to be taken in Workday and Kronos.
  • Other administrative support responsibilities as assigned by organization management.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years experience processing payroll
  • Experience working in a timekeeping system
  • Familiarity with using Kronos is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state tax and wage laws
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable professional integrity and a strong commitment to upholding confidentiality in all aspects of payroll management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
