Job Summary:
This position provides instruction through the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine at WisCARES Community Clinic. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include providing medical care for owned companion animals while teaching and supervising students, interns, and residents (if applicable) on general practice medicine and procedures; training veterinary students and interns to find and examine multiple solutions to the problems that financially restricted clients and communities might face; pursuing excellence in the clinical skills of trainees; and supporting other educational aspects of the program as needed. Cases at the clinic include routine wellness, sick pet appointments, urgent care and occasional emergent care.
