The Gas Resource Control Operator position pays between $54,720 to $68,400, and the Sr. Gas Resource Control Operator position pays between $63,440 to $79,300.Placement in any level is based on the skills, education and experience of the successful candidate.
About This Opportunity
Come join our Gas Control team as a Gas Resource Control Operator! As a control authority for the transmission system, you will be tasked with utilizing various markets to coordinate and/or match transportation and system supplies, as well as price concession resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Acts as the focal point for emergency control.
- Assumes accountability until supervisory personnel takes responsibility and control.
- Controls and matches gas system resources to market obligations on a minute-by-minute basis.
- Controls the flow of shipper transportation resources moving on gas pipeline systems to meet nominated volumetric requirements on a minute-by-minute basis.
- Verifies all metered quantities that flow through gas system to other pipeline companies to reduce imbalances.
- Documents and communicates all inter-pipeline system developments which could impact (positively or negatively) inter-pipeline relationships or the security, reliability, and safety of the gas supply system.
- Develops and maintains an intimate working knowledge of gathering, processing and transmission systems, and the guidelines and procedures associated with their operation and control.

Successful Candidate Must Have:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Gas Resource Contol Operator: 1 year of experience related to discipline
- Senior Gas Resource Control Operator: 3 years of experience related to discipline
Working Conditions
Requires rotating shift work, overtime and weekends. Must be capable of distinguishing colors. Regularly required to sit up to 90 percent of the time. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
