CVPICU

Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional for a 13-week assignment. The position requires working every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday).

The primary unit is PICU, with potential to float to Pediatrics and NICU if needed for an appropriate assignment. Additional float units may be assigned based on skill set and hospital needs.

• Must have 2 years of PICU critical care experience with 1 year of cardiac experience, documented on skills checklist.
• Competency in caring for CT patients with ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, Valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, TOF, post-cardiac cath and ablations, cardiac transplant, and post-cardiac surgery is required.
• Healthcare pacemakers and Tele monitoring experience required.
• Experience with BIPAP/CPAP, vents, high flow nasal cannula, and trachs required.
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 (Confirm with traveler).
• 19 beds on the unit.
• BLS & PALS required; NRP preferred.
• Charting System: EPIC.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
