Position Summary/Essential Duties: 1.) Department of Medicine: - Develops and implements mechanisms and controls to ensure appropriate billing and payment cycles, and accurate and timely billing, in accordance with established internal and third party payer requirements - Provides leadership and work with clinical leaders, medical staff, and operational leaders to develop and implement team based care and flow processes - Identifies, tracks and monitors performance metrics not limited to financial and operational analysis and reporting and evaluation of services (40%) 2.) Assists Department of Medicine's administration with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems. Reviews and evaluates current procedures and systems and develops recommendations for improvement and or change. - Identifies program/service strengths, weaknesses and financial impact. - Identifies opportunities for program/ service development. - Facilitates creation of new operational indicators by identifying process improvement opportunities and utilizing disparate data sources to provide timely, accurate and meaningful decision support tools. (30%) 3.) Serves as a technical resource in the analysis and evaluation of operations and financial functions of clinical departments as related to operational performance. Provides such data to the operations team and participates in the decision making and implementation process for operational improvements. Develops and maintains expertise on identified UHHS operating systems. AEMR, RedCap, Soarian (15%) 4.) Preparation of the monthly Operational Reports and analysis for the Department of Medicine Team. Provides analysis as to the affect of operational targets on overall performance. Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly operations activity reports and serves as primary resource to the Department of Medicine Operations Teams & Administration. Utilizes computer skills to maintain complex reporting - essential to providing timely and accurate reporting. (15%) Additional Responsibilities:
