About the role:

As the Operations Manager, Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team of pharmaceutical meeting planners, the successful execution of compliant events and optimal utilization of resources. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Operations Manager to manage team workload, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall operational efficiency of our event services.

As an Operations Manager, you're good at:



  1. Team Leadership:Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the on-site event coordinators and scheduling specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  2. Workload Management:Allocate and prioritize tasks effectively to manage the team's workload, ensuring that deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
  3. Client Interaction:Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction throughout the event planning process.
  4. Process Improvement:Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement, contributing ideas and insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Quality Assurance:Conduct regular quality checksto ensure adherence to compliance requirements, client SLAs, and industry best practices.
  6. Training and Development:Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with other departmentsto ensure seamless coordination and execution of events and operational activities.



You should have:



  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical meeting management and team leadership.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members, foster collaboration, and drive results.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event planning software (e.g., Cvent) is advantageous



You should know:



  • This role is virutal, and operates in the Eastern Time Zone.
  • You must have the ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Our standard working hours are 8:30 AM -5:30 PM with an hour break.
  • Covid vaccination might be required for this role.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Operations Manager, Meeting Planning is between $75,000 - $90,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
