About this Opportunity
The Honors College is seeking an innovative and engaging Director for the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships ( ONCS). ONCS is situated within the Honors College but serves students from across campus. The Director will help recruit and prepare students and recent alumni in applying for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships.

Position Function
Lead the university's efforts to recruit and mentor students and recent alumni who apply for major national and international scholarships and fellowships; foster and enable constant contact beginning at an early stage with the kind of student who is likely to be a serious candidate for these scholarships.
Minimum Education
Master's degree in an academic discipline by date of appointment.
Minimum Experience
Two years of experience in advising students on major scholarship applications.
Minimum Other
Outstanding writing skills; evidence of strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration; familiarity with Honors Programs or Honors Colleges.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Doctorate or terminal degree in an academic discipline by date of appointment.
Preferred Experience
Four years of experience in successful advising on major scholarship applications; evidence of successful university-level teaching; evidence of successful Honors advising or teaching at the university level.
Preferred Other
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.

Oversee relevant support staff (Honors Undergraduate Fellow and writing faculty).
