The Honors College (HC) and its programs are part of the Division of Academic Affairs. The Honors College provides outstanding undergraduate students with an enhanced and supportive intellectual and social environment that acculturates them to the life of the mind. HC programs help these outstanding students to become critical, independent thinkers who are active in the design and pursuit of their own education and prepared to lead successful and fulfilling professional, civic and personal lives.
To this end, the HC offers numerous opportunities incorporating service learning, leadership development, study abroad, and undergraduate research. These opportunities encourage students to travel to state and national honor conventions to present papers or make presentations, an exclusive living/learning community, seminar-style classes with limited enrollment, and access to other curricular and co-curricular experiences.
