Spiritual Care Advocate (Pastoral Care)

We are currently looking for a compassionate individual for the administrative coordinator position within our Pastoral Care department located in the Parkes Chapel of St. Ann's Community located on the Irondequoit campus. The primary purpose of your job is to assist the Director of Pastoral Care in ministering to the Spiritual needs of our Seniors and their families, the Staff and Volunteers of the St. Ann's Community (SAC).

St. Ann's Offers:



  • Salary range - $58-625k/year
  • Full time position; Must be able to work two weeks per month

Job Description:





    • Takes the lead in designing the plans of care necessary to meet the spiritual needs of all residents.

    • Provides Pastoral Care to the seniors and their families, staff, and volunteers of SAC on a regular basis and as needed.
    • Creates and leads programs, services, and experiences that meet the spiritual needs of the Seniors in the varying levels of care within the SAC who have other than a Catholic faith tradition.
    • Meets with family of deceased for funeral/memorial service preparation and offers assistance to Pastoral Care Staff when the service is for someone of another faith tradition other that Catholic.



    • Will travel to Cherry Ridge Campus on a regular rotating basis or when spiritual care coverage is needed at a particular time.





Candidate Requirements:



  • Master's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or the Humanities preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Humanities or Arts required
  • Three years minimum related experience working with Seniors required
