Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with expertise in payroll and business development to join our team. In this dual-focused role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of financial analysis, payroll processing, and government contracting to support both our financial operations and business development efforts. You will work closely with senior leaders to provide valuable insights into cost structures, pricing proposals, and payroll management. Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting:



  • Analyze project revenues, bid models, proposal costs, gross margins, and other financial data to report findings to senior leadership.
  • Track and report variances between estimated and actual revenues and profitability for each customer.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data.
  • Review monthly financial statements to identify potential issues and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and presentations based on financial research and analysis.
  • Support multiple stakeholders across the organization by managing shifting priorities and providing critical financial insights.


Payroll Management:



  • Provide expertise and oversight for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate records for employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Assist in salary data research for government contract proposals, ensuring that payroll costs are accurately reflected in pricing models.
  • Help with payroll compliance and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Track payroll trends and identify areas for process improvement to ensure efficiency and accuracy in payroll administration.


Business Development Support:



  • Develop and refine pricing models for federal government RFPs, including conducting salary data research and applying knowledge of different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus).
  • Assist in the development of pricing proposals, ensuring that all aspects of payroll and financial data are accurately included.
  • Analyze data from successful and unsuccessful bids to inform future pricing strategies and decisions.
  • Support the implementation of procurement and acquisition best practices, SOPs, and training initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, including government contract pricing, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.
  • Experience developing cost pricing models for government contracts (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus).
  • Strong expertise in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience with payroll systems and tools (e.g., iSolved People Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with procurement planning and cost forecasting.
  • Ability to assist with the development of standardized acquisition and procurement templates, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with business development processes and government contracting regulations.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Trust clearance.

Work Location

Hybrid (Primarily remote with occasional meetings in Leesburg, VA or other D.C. metro area locations)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
