The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts is a specific investment by the General Assembly in many of the states most talented and promising young minds. Summary of Job Duties:To assist the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance with matters pertaining to purchasing, travel, and general accounting.
To act as back-up for receptionist duties.
To conduct reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy of information.
To promote good relations and achieve efficient resolution of problems. Qualifications:

A minimum of (2) two years of accounting office experience and/or associate's degree in accounting required.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field is preferred.

Strong knowledge of the use of computers, Microsoft and Google products, with the ability to learn new software.

Organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines on a regular basis.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to create and maintain professional and cooperative work relationships within and outside the school.

Experience with Workday, higher education and purchasing principles, procedures and methods.

Knowledge of state purchasing and finance laws and regulations.

38,000 - 42,000 (Based on degree and experience)
