Safety Manager

As a Safety Manager in Suffolk, VA at Garney Construction.The main duty of the safety manager is to ensure the job site is in compliance with safety regulations. They will plan and conduct safety meetings, compliance trainings, audits, and inspections throughout the job site. The safety manager will be a liaison for safety expectations between owners, Garney, and employee owners in the field. The safety manager has a focus on identifying safety issues and hazards before they injure employee-owners.

• Review, implement, and assist on safety regulations and standards to project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazard.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.

• 5+ years of experience in construction safety
• OSHA 500 Certification in Construction.
• Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and or relocate.
