The Provider Compensation and Contracts Specialist will assist with the coordination of contracting processes with various internal and external customers including the Vice President & CEO of Medical Group Services, Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Chair of Department, the Division Chief, Section Chief, Medical Directors, Administrators, Administrative Directors, Medical Staff Services, MSO Billing, Information Resources and Communications, Human Resources, Legal, Renown Medical Group Operations, Tax & Treasury, Finance, Real Estate, etc. This position will need to be very flexible to meet deadlines and accommodate concurrent contracting priorities. Provider relations issues and concerns will be addressed via the appropriate chain of command, ensuring timely resolution. This position collaborates with hiring managers within the organization to support Renown Health Medical Group's mission and business goals. The incumbent will provide tracking, trending, and reporting of provider contracting efforts, ensure continuous process improvement, and will be responsible for compliance with Stark Law and its impact on fair market value of provider compensation, and commercial reasonableness. As a Provider Compensation and Contracts Specialist, the incumbent will communicate the compensation terms outlined in the Provider contract, ensuring understanding of productivity and value metrics by the provider. The incumbent will assist the Renown Medical Group Finance team and Renown Medical Group Dyad Leaders with the successful transition of the provider from new hire, ramp-up of patient-base, to fully productive/value-based compensation model, as applicable. As part of the collaboration process with the HRBPs, Renown Medical Group Finance team, and Renown Medical Group Dyad Leadership, the incumbent will act as a liaison for provider compensation requests and become an expert in the Provider Request Form process to ensure that new position requests and compensation requests for incumbent providers include all necessary supporting business and financial justification. The incumbent will attend the weekly provider compensation meetings with Renown Medical Group's Executive Leadership team and will be responsible for the documentation of approvals and implementation process of compensation changes. The incumbent will be expected to track and manage the provider short term disability payments, as well as collaborate with operational leaders to ensure appropriate timecard coding for provider leaves of absence. As part of this process, the incumbent will collaborate with The Standard, Renown Benefits Team, and operational leaders. The incumbent will also be expected to review provider time bank adjustment forms to ensure requests are approved based upon compliance with applicable compensation models. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Provider Recruiters to ensure employment agreements are prepared in alignment with compensation model guidelines and in compliance with applicable compensation benchmarking data and policies. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with the Provider Recruitment Coordinator to ensure accurate tracking and timely payment of provider start-to-work/retention bonuses. The incumbent will support the Director of Provider Recruitment and Relations, as well as the HRPBs to advise and assist management and employees to respond to provider relations issues and concerns by interpreting applicable HR and provider policies and procedures and making responsible recommendations in these areas as necessary and appropriate; initiate recommendations for appropriate measures to address underlying systemic problems or issues represented by the expressed concern, including but not limited to, suggestions on policy clarification or development, appropriate training or other development interventions. Serve in a specialist, liaison capacity ensures thorough investigations and follow up with provider and leadership issues to be consistent and equitable in the application of HR and provider policies and procedures. Provide support on implementing major organization-wide projects, including but not limited to, employee engagement surveys, employee enrichment programs, employee benefits programs, multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity programs and employee advocacy/conflict resolution procedures. Identify problem provider relations areas that impede organizational progress; recommend appropriate interventions and/or other corrective actions as needed. Apprise Director of organizational issues, problems, or trends; prepare reports, analyses and other written communication setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions as necessary or requested. This position will also assist the Director with projects and events as needed.
