Heavy Equipment Operator Summary: The Truck Driver/Equipment Operator - West Midcon - reports to Construction Supervisor. The position provides support to the work team in defined duties working safely in pipeline repairs, replacements, and fabrications consistent with company policies, procedures, and government regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Safely operate a commercial truck to transport materials and equipment to various locations. * Move and tie-down of workpieces, as well as heavy equipment, to and from the work site. * Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage. * Operate hand and power tools as required. * Prepare materials and equipment for welding, ensuring the work area is clean and organized and ready for the welding / repair application. * Cleaning the work area after welding and removing excess metal or impurities from the construction site.
Required Skills (External) Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
* Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, calculator, telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
Preferred Skills: * Familiar with the Federal Code of Regulations as it relates to Natural Gas Pipeline Construction and Operation. * Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team. * Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner with both private and public entities and officials.
