Privacy Compliance Manager

You will be responsible for supporting the Group Privacy, Data and Cyber Regulatory Office, working directly with the Group Data Protection Officer in providing management support and oversight for Nokia's Privacy Program in Europe and the UK, as well as other jurisdictions as may be necessary from time to time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the Group Data Protection Officer and the network of Privacy Leads and Privacy Champions in implementing and maintaining the Nokia Global Privacy Program.



  • Providing guidance to the Group in relation to compliance with our privacy policy, standards, procedures.
  • Partner with and support country managers and country management teams to drive strong privacy governance at a country level across all business groups and functions and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations as reflected in our Privacy Program.
  • Delivering training to internal stakeholders on Nokia's Privacy Program.
  • Supporting Nokia's Binding Corporate Rules certification process.
  • Managing privacy risk incidents in accordance with internal policy.
  • Creating and reviewing privacy assessments in One Trust (Processing Activity Assessments; IT Asset Assessments and Privacy Vendor Assessment).
  • Escalating review of DPIAs to the Group Data Protection officer.
  • Identifying trends in Privacy Processing Assessment risks and privacy risk incidents within Nokia and supporting agreed remediation strategies.
  • Handling simple DSARs from individuals, escalating to Group Data Protection Officer as necessary.
  • Engaging with the wider Privacy Network and other stakeholders on the Nokia Privacy Program and the Group Privacy, Data and Cyber Regulatory Office strategy.
  • Engaging with the Data and Cyber Regulatory legal team, and other internal legal counsel to obtain privacy legal advice as may be necessary.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Nokia stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner.


  • Prior experience of privacy compliance is essential.
  • You should have a good understanding of the GDPR or other key privacy frameworks.
  • Experience of the Onetrust privacy platform and a relevant privacy certification is desirable.
  • You should have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex privacy issues clearly, concisely and simply.
