In your role as Senior Manager, you will guide our clients through the college admissions process, helping students present and maximize their unique strengths, accomplishments, and potential in a student-focused and ethical way. As we grow in 2025, we continue to prioritize the diversification of our team, a goal that comes from the top down thanks to our Bright Horizons leaders who have been vocal supporters of social justice and equity movements. At the heart of Bright Horizons College Coach is a phenomenal group of knowledgeable, hardworking, team-oriented educators with experience at a wide range of undergraduate institutions, including former admissions and financial aid officers who are dedicated to supporting every kind of student as they seek their best-fit colleges. Flexibility plays a key role at Bright Horizons College Coach. We work remotely, yet we also share a deep sense of community and camaraderie. Responsibilities:

  • Support students & families through all aspects of the college admission process, including managing expectations & goals
  • Contribute to College Coach's growth, employee satisfaction, & inclusive environment
  • Have the opportunity to work with a Bright Horizons Scholar, providing pro bono support to an under-resourced student through one of our community partnerships
  • Build on your admission experience to work with a diverse group of students & parents at various socioeconomic levels & help them successfully navigate the education system
  • Present on a full spectrum of educational topics, such as alternatives to a four-year degree, supporting students with disabilities, and admissions to highly-selective institutions
  • Collaborate with an experienced & engaged team of admissions & college finance experts to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field
  • Work a flexible schedule, including some evening or weekend appointments
  • This position is fully remote.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in selective college admissions required; college counseling experience preferred
  • Availability to start as early as May 5, 2025
  • Consistent & reliable access to phone coverage & internet service
  • While this is a remote role, west coast locations & Pacific Time Zone work hours are preferred
  • Passion for higher education & a commitment to increasing education access for a broad constituency of students
  • The ability to reach all audiences & meet families where they are in the process
  • A high degree of integrity, creativity, & strategic thinking, plus great time management, organizational skills, & a willingness to embrace flexibility
  • Confident presence, strong relationship building skills, & a professional manner
  • Strong editing & writing ability coupled with attention to detail
  • Superior presentation skills in both large group & individual settings
  • Interest in working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment & commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, & inclusion
  • Comfort level with technology, including Microsoft Office & internet research

Salary and Other Compensation Disclosures:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $72,000 - $82,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role receive up to: 5 days of paid sick time per year, 10 days of paid vacation time per year, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and 9 paid holidays annually.
