As a software acquisition professional, you'll bring in-depth understanding and expertise to support a senior defense client in the strategy development, implementation planning, acquisition, transition, and resource-related assessments, and training development or outreach for software acquisition programs.You'll apply leading-edge principles and concepts to provide expert technical, acquisition, and program support for complex technical, policy, and programmatic problems. You'll operate with substantial latitude to lead and innovate decision analysis for addressing complex DoD acquisition problems, providing recommendations, executing plans to optimize portfolio investments, and reducing enterprise risk. You'll evaluate programs of record as well as prototypes to optimize conditions for software delivery and transition in a variety of mission contexts. You'll conduct in-depth technical reviews of joint, highly visible software acquisition programs and pathfinding efforts. You'll engage in variety of internal and external technical working groups and governance bodies.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with acquisition and program management of DoD software acquisitions in a DoD Program Office, Program Executive Officer's office, or DoD Acquisition Command

  • Experience working in accordance with the DoDI 5000 series Adaptive Acquisition Framework policies and documents, including the software acquisition pathway

  • Experience in a staff officer role on OSD, Joint Staff, or Service or Agency-level headquarter staff, including developing strategies, decision briefs, and information papers and analyzing policy documents for the DoD

  • Experience with working as part of a cross-functional delivery team, integrating and incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive-level decision-making products, and communicating the findings, insights, and recommendations to senior-level clients effectively

  • Knowledge of commercial sector software engineering best practices

  • Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes

  • Ability to anticipate client and stakeholder requirements, perform proactively, pay strict attention to detail, and work with minimum oversight

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with implementing, modernizing, and transitioning software technologies

  • Expertise in writing and synthesizing data from multiple sources into comprehensive technical documents that are easy to comprehend

  • Expertise undertaking analytical activities for US government acquisition programs, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, test and evaluation, trade studies, or architecture design per US government processes

  • Knowledge of the technology and implementation approaches for enterprise software architectures, cloud computing, and common operating pictures

  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level III or higher Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
