Position Description
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic patient flow. Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position is responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies, and maintaining related information for the department. Employees may have cash-handling responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Efficiently and professionally handled inbound calls for appointments, adhering to contact center and clinical department procedures and guidelines.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Conduct outbound calls to patients as needed to manage appointments, provide reminders, and conduct quality assurance follow-up.
  • Contribute to team success by assisting with the training of new contact center hires on workflows and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the contact center management team to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
A High School diploma or GED. 1-year Customer Service, office, or related experience. Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement.
