JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State's Student Affairs Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the work of the office while demonstrating a strong commitment to the University's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.HPW provides health promotion services, programs, and health communication materials for a diverse group of students. The position serves as the front desk receptionist and will assist with the day-to-day operations of the office. The position reports directly to the Office Manager and provides administrative support to the Director and other staff in HPW. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Preferred Education, Experience, or Certifications: Experience in a fast-paced work environment necessitating strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills is preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Additional Required Competencies: Ability to work within secure and confidential student databases such as LionPath (student portal) and Point and Click (electronic medical record). Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine appreciation of working with diverse audiences. Ethical decision-making and the ability to be a flexible and collaborative team member.
