Embedded Software Engineer- Internship- Summer 2025

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineering Internto work in a dynamic R&D environment. This position will give exposure to several different aspects of software development including test automation, hands on trouble shooting, and implementation based on software requirements. You will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.

DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred.All summerinternships must start no later than June 16, 2025.

How you will make an impact:

• Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in embedded and test software
• Improve automated testing through investigation and code debugging
• Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures
• Support development of software
• Learn software processes

Skills we are looking for:

• Must be currently enrolled in an Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent program, graduate student preferred
• An understanding of, and experience with embedded software
• Must have C++ programming experience
• Have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s)
• Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Python programming experience a plus
• Involvement with First Robotics is a plus
• Interest in personal embedded projects is a plus
