ABOUT THE ROLE:
The SVP, Retail Market Leader is responsible for leading, managing and growing the company's retail banking division. This role will manage the Retail Banking , Mortgage and Small Business Banking teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:



  • Responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of retail banking to ensure the maximization of revenue and sales production.
  • Lead major change initiatives in support of the market's strategies, clearly communicating and supporting the rationale for change and related performance expectations
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for all Retail Banking branches
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Bank's policies, procedures, and services
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage banking industry
  • Promotes a culture of outstanding employee performance through ongoing engagement and talent development
  • Consistently communicate the company vision and core values to ensure it is shared, understood and incorporated into team and individual goals and objectives
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the competitive marketplace and industry trends in product offerings
  • Represent Alerus in the community by being an active member of organizations and professional development groups


WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:



  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Retail Banking, including at least 5 years in a role leading teams
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to change and adapt quickly while remaining focused on customers and executing business initiatives.
  • Ability to lead, prioritize and execute on multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven experience to recruit and build high performing teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office utilizing proper ergonomic safeguards when doing so. Additionally, the employee must occasionally lift or move supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
